Frequently Asked Questions How much SPF protection does Aquea SPF™ provide? The SPF can range anywhere from SPF 2 to SPF 15 and more. It depends on what application you are using. Also your bathing routine will influence the residual SPF – lather, rinse and drying time varies from person, day-to-day. How long does the protection last? Typically, 6 to 8 hours. For full protection it is best to use a body wash, bath gel or shampoo every day, but you can still protect your face, neck and arms at your sink by using a bar or liquid soap. Of course these products must contain Aquea SPF™. Are there really anti-aging benefits? Destructive free radicals are released in the skin upon sun exposure. The barrier system created by Aquea SPF™ contains free radical scavengers and UVA filters to help prevent premature aging. Are the benefits like ones I get from my facial care products? The key difference between Aquea SPF™ and most facial moisturizers and creams is that Aquea SPF™ is based on prevention. The better the prevention, the less the need for those oftentimes expensive skincare products. Can I apply make-up or moisturizer to my skin after washing with a product containing Aquea SPF™? Yes. Aren’t there other products like Aquea SPF™? No. The product has four patents protecting it and more that are patent pending. It is unique because it is water based and the microencapsulated system is based on a special technology that holds the sunscreen on your skin in a cosmetically elegant manner. Will I be able to feel it on my skin? Your skin will actually feel a little smoother and silkier. And there is no greasy feeling. The formulation was designed to help lock in moisture content so that your skin remains supple even during exposure to UV rays. By and large, Aquea SPF™ leaves a barrier on the skin that is virtually undetectable. How safe is Aquea SPF™? Numerous clinical studies have been done – all performed by FDA approved independent laboratories -- with results showing that in addition to efficacy, Aquea SPF™ produced no irritation or sensitization to the skin even after repeated four-week exposure.
